Monster Hunter World: Gourmet Shroomcap Locations (Fungal Flexin' in the Ancient Forest)
Marvel rivals: best pc settings for high fps, the 10 best co-op games of 2024.
Crafting better gear lies at the heart of Monster Hunter World . Beyond the epic boss fights is a more relaxed metagame that's all about mixing and matching different pieces of gear together. Of course, crafting isn't free, and materials like Research Commission Tickets aren't as readily available as some others.
Players can learn how to deliver 20 Gourmet Shroomcaps and complete Monster Hunter World's Fungal Flexin' in the Ancient Forest quest here.
Research Commission Tickets are special crafting materials that aren't as obvious to find as monster parts or the many metal ores in Monster Hunter World. Still, they're needed for a handful of gear, including a special armor set, some charms, and an entire weapon line made from one specific Elder Dragon . Here's where to get some of these tickets.
How to Get Research Commission Tickets in MHW
The best way to get Research Commission Tickets is to complete optional High Rank quests . There is a finite number of quests to finish, but these should be enough to fill in for your immediate crafting needs.
The other way to farm for Research Commission Tickets is to farm the White Winds of the New World and The Sapphire Star's Guidance quests, which are both 9-star missions that are fairly difficult. White Winds tasks players with hunting four monsters in the Special Arena (Legiana, Odogaron, Rathalos, and Diablos), while Sapphire Star's Guidance sends players to Elder's Recess to hunt Tempered Elder Dragons (Kushala Daora, Teostra, and Nergigante).
Farming these two quests is recommended only as a last resort since their drop rate for Research Commission Tickets is very low (~1%). However, if you're all out of HR quests to do, then these two are your only options.
The White Winds of the New World quest only appears once you've completed all other optional HR quests and captured every monster at least once. If it doesn't appear in the 9-star HR quest menu, then make sure to satisfy these conditions first.
Research Commission Tickets are required to craft the Commission Armor Sets (the armor worn by the Commander and the Handler) as well as all of Lunastra's Rarity 8 weapons . Tickets are also required to craft the following charms:
- Bulwark Charm
- Dispersal Charm
- Handicraft Charm III
- Mushroom Charm II
- Penetration Charm
- Wyrmslayer Charm
The Handicraft Charm is especially helpful for fast-attacking weapons like Dual Blades and the Insect Glaive. It increases the sharpness gauge of weapons as long as its base sharpness level isn't already maxed out. Penetration Charm is great for Bow and Bowgun users who prefer Pierce Ammo.

How To Get A Research Commission Ticket In Monster Hunter World (Fastest Ways)
Monster Hunter World is one of the easiest games in the series. Or at least that’s what I tell myself when I’m farming rare crafting components to make boss fights easier for myself. The grind can be made a bit easier if you have a Research Commission Ticket.
If you want to get your hands on Research Commission Tickets in MHW, you’ve come to the right place. In the grand scheme of things, these tickets are your premium pass to weapon upgrades, which are extremely important in this game. In this guide, I’ll show you two farming methods to get as many Research Commission Tickets as you possibly can.

Why You Should Farm Research Commission Tickets in Monster Hunter World
Research Commission Tickets are required to craft the Commission Alpha Armor Set, the Commission Beta Armor Set, and the Commission Armor Layered Set. You’ll also need them to upgrade Lunastra weapons and craft charms like the Bulwark Charm and Wyrmslayer Charm.
If you’re playing Iceborn, you’ll also want to get your hands on Research Commission Tickets +, which work the same way as regular ones but can craft better gear.
Method 1: Mid-Game Research Commission Ticket Farming Method in Monster Hunter World
To farm Research Commission Tickets in Monster Hunter World, complete The White Winds of the New World quest . It’s a bit of a challenge, requiring you to capture all monsters, complete every optional quest, hit Research Level 6 on a dozen monsters, and reach a Hunter rank of 49. Sounds like a grind? Well, it is, but the sweet reward is a Research Commission Ticket.
Once you hit HR 49, you can join other players hosting the quest to farm Research Commission Tickets in Monster Hunter World. You can even narrow down your search by typing in the monster names, like Legiana, to make life a bit easier.
Method 2: Late-Game Research Commission Ticket Farming Method in Monster Hunter World
For the second method to farm Research Commission Ticket, Sapphire Star’s Guidance is your go-to quest. However, you’ll only unlock it once you hit the HR 100 milestone. Sure, it might take a bit more effort to hit HR 100, but the payoff is worth it.
You’ll be facing three-tempered Elder Dragons; don’t let that intimidate you. Surprisingly, it’s easier than dealing with a horde of monsters. Less health, no boosted stats – it’s a breeze. This quest will earn you not one but two Research Commission Tickets.
Once again, you can join another player’s hunt to farm Research Commission Tickets in Monster Hunter World.

MHW Research Commission Tickets | How to get
by Andrew Smith February 2, 2020, 4:04 pm
In Monster Hunter World , there are specific rewards for doing certain quests in the game. One such example is the High Commendation Ticket, which players can earn by completing various quests. However, most might now be aware that there is a ticket rewarded by the commander himself. In this guide, we will show you how to get MHW Research Commission Tickets.
What are Research Commission Tickets in MHW
In Monster Hunter World, Research Commission Tickets are rewarded to players by the commander to those who have helped the Research Commission — simple enough, right? Further, Research Commission Tickets can be used to redeem a variety of weapons, armors, and charms in the game.
How to Get the MHW Research Commission Ticket
If you’re looking to get your hands on a few MHW Research Commission Tickets, there are a few ways to go about it. Below is a quick list of different quests that will earn players a ticket in Monster Hunter World.
- The Sapphire Star’s Guidance (100% chance of giving 2 tickets)
- The White Winds of the New World (100% chance of giving 1-2 tickets)
- New World Sky, New World Flower (1% chance of giving 1 ticket)
Each of these quests will require players to defeat a handful of different monsters. However, you can be certain they’ll be worth your time, as two of the three have a 100% chance of dropping a Research Commission Ticket.
Even though, New World Sky quest has a very low chance of dropping a ticket, we would suggest doing this quest if you’re trying to farm tickets because it may be the easiest out of the three.
How to Farm MHW Research Commission Tickets
Farming MHW Research Commission Tickets can be quite a difficult task, due to players having to fight more than one monster in all of the quests that reward them. Additionally, things only get worse with the fact that in two of the three quests, players will have to fight more than one Tempered Monster. For this reason, we advise holding off on starting these quests until you are fully prepared.
However, once you are prepared, we recommend doing the New World Sky quest because it appears to be the easiest out of the three to repeat. With the New World Sky quest, players will have to fight two tempered monsters in 50 minutes, while in The Sapphire Star’s quest players have to fight three Tempered Elder Dragons and in The White Winds players have to fight four monsters in 25 minutes.
